Don't worry, even I was in your place once. but I didn't get any hacks just like you. so I just put an end after some time on this research. 

I again came back on track and did my freelance work honestly. slowly-slowly after some time in experiencing and exploring the freelance world. I found a few freelancing hacks and techniques. 

So I would like to share these techniques I learned from my own experience and I hope that this will be your last post about hacks.

yes, it does help you with your freelancing journey. it will increase your productivity, boosts your confidence, and gives you hope of winning.

you can call use them as your jugaad(shortcuts). learn to use them and then only you will be able to increase these three things in your journey.

Top freelancing hacks I have learned

1. shortcuts

so, let's start with baby steps. you might be wondering what shortcuts? well, shortcuts are named as shortcuts for a reason. 

Apply shortcuts wherever you can.

" never spend time learning skills which a computer can do that in seconds"

It is one of the simplest productivity hacks ever. it saves hours of time for me. 

For example, if you use any app desktop app frequently pin it to your taskbar. if you are a freelance writer and use Microsoft word as your default application, pin it to your taskbar.

I recommend you to learn keyboard shortcuts they will help you a lot with writing.

If you want to learn some shortcuts then you should google it.

2. Scheduling & deadlines

I am pretty sure you have heard of these terms before but never applied them in your real life. 

well, It's time to do it now. at least in your freelancing career.

we all know freelancing offers flexibility in our work but, having a schedule can save you from unnecessary hassle. and you will be able to easily manage your freelance work. 

One tip:- I will recommend you to set block to your working yours. this trick will help your brain to function better. 

you can create different time blocks for your social media, email checking, personal growth, etc.

scheduling your work according to your lifestyle is important. it will help you to balance your work-life and nature.

scheduling and deadline, both go hand-in-hand. I know most clients give us deadlines but sometimes they don't.

Then what you can do is send him an e-mail stating your work progress and the date of your first draft of your work. 

This has two benefits:

2. it will force you to wake up from your cozy bed and work because of your deadlines.

Having deadlines will empower you to work on your project and scheduling makes your work more organized.

3. Apply on lesser know sites

let me tell you something.

Say a big "no" to most freelancing sites. I will tell you why because in the modern world competition is cutthroat everybody knows. this is a fact. 

most of the popular sites like Fiverr and freelancing has more experienced and good freelancers than you. and you are just a beginner in freelancing.

And here the freelancing client will always go for the best, as they should. so, your chances of getting a freelance client is less. and it will be more challenging and time-consuming.

so what I recommend is to go on lesser-known sites. there the competition is far less than other popular freelance websites.

on these websites don't expect that you are going to be highly paid. here you will be paid fairly. it's not bad or very good. but as a beginner, you can go with it. 

Not only you will be paid for your work but also you will be able to build your freelance portfolio.

4. Make your uncle work

Stop making assumptions. 

yes, please stop. you might have questions arousing in your mind like which uncle and why "uncle"?

well here uncle means not your uncle. let me tell you a thing about me. I am an Indian.

so here many people use a famous proverb known as:

"chacha vidhayak hai hamare"

it means that our chacha means uncle has a big network. he knows many people including powerful people such as politicians and police officers.

so, who is stopping you to use your network to get freelancing clients? trust me it will be much easier than finding clients online.

let me give you an example:

let’s assume you are a freelance graphic designer and you want to find a client offline.

so what you can do is to create a beautiful advertisement poster of your work using Canva.

And upload that poster in your WhatsApp groups including family groups there is a lot of potential because there is a lot of potential because if any one of them had a shop then they might contact you.

for creating their shop advertisement and shop name board. so, like this you can find a client using your network.

or...

you can directly go to the shop owner in your area and tell them about your services. if he is interested then he gives you the work.

and please don't be demotivated if you don't get any clients through your network. just keep going you will get your client soon.

It might be a small technique but trust me I am telling you from my own experience. it will make a big difference in your work. 

6. keep learning

This is not just a hack it's an investment in yourself. it will give you 10x more wealth if you keep learning persistently.

great marketer A.J. Agrawal says:

"There always new skills to learn and technically adapt them"

It might be a simple suggestion but listen to me and follow it. if you don't do then you might die.

not exactly dying but dying mentally. It either you learn or die there's no other halfway around.

it will change you completely and you will become more intelligent. 

now you might have a question like "where to learn and should we go for paid courses or go with free content?"

what I say is if you can few bucks in buying an online course then go for it. make sure you don't fall into any online scams. 

it happens most nowadays. or if you want to go for free-content then you can download ebooks and watch free videos on youtube.

Tip time:-

suppose you buy an online course with a duration of 10+ hours then make sure you complete the whole course.

I know it feels boring to watch and learn boring concepts. but trust me in order to learn it you don't have to like it.

That's the rule of the game

so be prepared to stick to the rule of the game. and in case you don't follow the rule then you might waste your time as well as money on that paid course.
